MISSION STATEMENT: 
The Catholic Educators' Conference is held each year to provide opportunity for the spiritual and professional growth of Catholic educators, for the development of Christian community and to provide leadership in the development of a dynamic, evangelistic school system.

Some highlights for CEC 2008

We are very excited to be going back to the Vancouver Convention Centre in downtown Vancouver for these two days. Our Opening General Session speaker is Msgr. Jim Lisante, a familiar face to millions of Catholics, is the executive producer and host of the award winning weekly television program, Christopher Close-up, as well as Personally Speaking, which he hosts for NBC, he has been a regular and effective voice for the Church. As a prolific writer he has authored a number of books and has a regular column that appears in over 300 newspapers. Known for digging deeply in search of truth and faith, he will show in our keynote why he is both an extraordinary interviewer and a much-respected voice in society.

Our Closing General Session speaker, Matthew Kelly was born in Sidney, Australia, and over the past ten years has spoken to over three million people in more than 50 countries. In addition millions more have been touched by his writings and appearances on radio and television. Both as a speaker and as an author, Kelly possesses a powerful ability to combine the ageless tool of storytelling with a profound understanding of today's culture and the common yearnings of the human heart. As a result he captures our imaginations and helps us to see the challenges and opportunities of our everyday lives in a new light. With a keen sense of humor and heartwarming charm, Kelly seems to effortlessly elevate and energize people to pursue the highest values of the human spirit and become "the-best-version-of-themselves."
